Need to keep the kids busy during spring break? Here are 7 things to do around Milwaukee.

Most local schools have spring break at the end of March or the beginning of April this year. Here are some spring break camps, events and specials that are going on around Milwaukee during those times.
Egg Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo
The Milwaukee County Zoo is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during spring break weeks. Also, it will be hosting its annual Egg Day on Saturday, April 8, with a parade, crafts and the chance to see the animals playing with colorful Easter eggs.
Spring Break Camp at The Racine Zoo
The Racine Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during spring break weeks.
The zoo also has Spring Break Camp at Racine Zoo from April 10-14. Kids in kindergarten through seventh grade can sign up to spend the week seeing animals, doing crafts, eating snacks and getting close encounters with some of the animals.
Spring break programs at Milwaukee Public Museum
The Milwaukee Public Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Tuesdays during spring break weeks.
The museum also has special spring break programming. The program, "Animals Up Close," is tied into the museum's Survival of the Slowest temporary exhibit, and will allow visitors to use microscopes to learn more about animal fur and skin. Visitors will be able to participate in the activity from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
Extra spring break hours at Discovery World
Discovery World is usually closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but it will be open Mondays, March 27 and April 3, and Tuesdays, March 28 and April 4, to accommodate kids who are on spring break. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also, the science museum's annual Spring Fling Egg Hunt will take place Saturday, April 8.
Spring programs at Betty Brinn Children's Museum
Betty Brinn is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily except Tuesdays during spring break weeks.
Also, every Friday is Friendship Friday at Betty Brinn, when there will be activities to encourage kids to play and learn together. And, on Mondays and Thursdays, the Corrugated Conundrum program will take place in the PlayLab exhibit, where kids have the opportunity to make whatever they want out of cardboard. The program is from 10 to 11 a.m. on Mondays and 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursdays.
Spring Adventure Days Camp at Urban Ecology Center
Kids who are ages 7 to 12 can take part in the Urban Ecology Center's spring adventure days the week of April 3-7. Each daylong program includes hikes, picnics, games and art as the educators focus on different nature-related themes. The first three days will take place at Riverside Park with the last two at Menomonee Valley.
There are also two weeks of spring break programming (March 27-31 and April 3-7) for kids ages 4-6. The spring break forest adventures will take place at Menomonee Valley and Riverside Parks and will allow kids to climb trees, catch bugs, play in the park and go on hikes.
Family movies at the Oriental Theatre
Milwaukee's Oriental Theatre will be showing a variety of previously released family movies during spring break weeks, with "Mary Poppins" on March 25, "Fantasia" on March 31, a double feature of the 1961 and 1998 versions of "The Parent Trap" on April 2 and "The Muppet Movie" on April 7.
