Wisconsin's first Pan-Asia Supermarket is coming to West Allis, with an expected opening date in late 2024.
The supermarket chain currently has five stores in Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. Each boasts a selection of over 10,000 Asian food products from a diverse variety of cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, Korean and Thai, according to the company website.
Construction on the new Milwaukee-area location is expected to begin in February or March. The supermarket will be located at 6900 W. Greenfield Ave. in the West Allis Towne Center. The building was formerly home to a Kmart that closed in 2017.
Pan-Asia is hardly the first Asian market in town. So, if you're excited about Pan-Asia coming to Milwaukee but don't want to wait a year before purchasing some delicious Asian food, here are five Milwaukee-area Asian markets to try today.

Mekong Cafe: 5930 W North Ave, Milwaukee
Mekong Cafe on North Avenue is home to both a restaurant and Asian market. The restaurant sells sandwiches influenced by multiple Asian cuisines, as well as Boba tea, cold-pressed juices and other beverages. The cafe also has refrigerated, grab-and-go snacks available for purchase.
