Sample over 80 wines and gourmet food at Voyager’s inaugural The End Festival
Feel like sipping on some fabulous wine while knocking out some holiday gift purchases? There’s a new event coming soon to Milwaukee that lets you do all that and more.
Voyager Wine & Cocktail Bar, the popular Bay View wine bar, is hosting its inaugural wine, food and music festival dubbed The End Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 17.
At the event, held at Radio Milwaukee, 220 E. Pittsburgh Ave., guests can sample more than 80 wines, which will be available to purchase by the bottle — for holiday gifting or for beefing up your own wine cellar.
Gourmet snacks also will be on hand for sampling, and several notable musicians and DJs will provide the soundtrack for this inaugural tasting event.
“We are taking a traditional wine ‘taste-and-buy' event and making it a memorable experience — something fun and a little wilder, in typical Voyager fashion,” Voyager owner Jordan Burich said in a news release. “Wine events should be fun and convivial — and maybe a little bit of dance party. It’s also a great chance to buy some holiday gifts for friends and family, or to treat yourself to something wonderful.”
Gourmet snacks to taste and purchase
At the event, local cheesemaker Veronica Pedraza of Port Washington’s Blakesville Creamery will be giving out samples of her award-winning specialty cheeses.
Argentinian chef Alex Burgos will also be sampling caviar “bumps,” sandwiches and more snacks with South American flair.
Guests will be able to purchase any cheese, caviar or charcuterie items they taste at the event.
Discounts on wine purchased at the event
Love something you taste at The End? Pre-order it at the event and pick up your bottles the following week at Voyager, 422 E. Lincoln Ave.
With your ticket, you’ll get discounts at Voyager for any wine purchased during the event. Voyager also will offer gift cards when you purchase multiple bottles. Purchase three bottles and get a $10 Voyager gift card, purchase six bottles for a $25 gift card or 12 bottles or more for a $60 gift card.
Live music from local musicians and DJs
You won’t be sipping and snacking in silence. Throughout the event, expect performances by local acts King Courteen, Dark Psychic and Group of the Altos, along with an all-day record spin by Bill Rouleau of Rushmor Records.
On-site wine, beer and cocktail bar brings more merriment
Thirsty for more than a sample? The festival’s pop-up bar will serve cocktails, wine by the glass and beer from event vendors.
How to purchase tickets
Advance tickets for The End Festival are available on Eventbrite for $35 per person; tickets will be $45 at the door. With each ticket, guests will receive a complimentary tasting glass, detailed wine notes and discounts at Voyager for wine purchased at the event.
