Dia de los Muertos events at Mitchell Park Domes, Forest Home Cemetery
There are several events in Milwaukee marking Dia de los Muertos this weekend. Among them:
- The Friends of The Domes' Dia de los Muertos celebration is from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Mitchell Park Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., with mariachi music, dancers, vendors, food and more. Admission (purchased in advance only) is $16, $13 for Friends of Domes members. Info and registration: milwaukeedomes.org.
- Forest Home Cemetery's Día de los Muertos Festival formally starts at 10 a.m. Oct. 28, with mariachi music, dancers, altars and ofrendas and more. Admission is free. Info: foresthomecemetery.com.

Asian Moon Festival & Halloween Extravaganza
The Wisconsin Chinese Chamber of Commerce hosts its Asian Moon Festival & Halloween Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St. Mooncake tasting, tea ceremony demonstrations, Asian dance performances (including a Chinese lion dance) and more are on the program. Tickets start at $20. Hallowings in Greendale
Hallowings 2023 features kite-flying, free pumpkin-carving, pumpkin bowling, music and more in Greendale's Gazebo Park, 5798 Broad St., through Oct. 29. Admission is free. Info: giftofwingslanding.com.
Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee in Red Arrow Park
The second annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee haunts Red Arrow Park, 920 N. Water St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28. The first 500 guests can pick out a free pumpkin. There's also live music, food, a book sale and, at 12:30 p.m. a kids costume parade. Admission is free. Info: milwaukeedowntown.com.
