Comedian Pete Schwaba will host a show on Civic Media's progressive talk radio stations
Comedian and filmmaker Pete Schwaba is hosting a nightly entertainment talk show on Civic Media's network of local news and progressive talk radio stations in Wisconsin, including WAUK-AM (540) in Waukesha.
Madison-based Civic Media will air “Nite Lite With Pete Schwaba” weeknights from 8 to 10 p.m. starting Dec. 4.
“Entertainment, just like sports, helps bring people together, which is more important now than ever, Schwaba said in a statement from Civic Media. "I’m excited to introduce listeners to people I’ve met over the years in the entertainment business, share experiences, and generally celebrate arts and culture in Wisconsin.”
Schwaba has had a varied career in television and movies, from working as a producer on Jeff Foxworthy's show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth-Grader?" to writing feature films including the 2003 romantic comedy "A Guy Thing" and the 2005 indie comedy "The Godfather of Green Bay," which he also directed and co-starred with Lauren Holly and Tony Goldwyn. More recently, Schwaba has hosted shows about movies for PBS Wisconsin.
In addition to WAUK, which also airs at 101.1 on the FM dial, "Nite Lite" will air on the other stations in Civic Media's expanding Wisconsin network including: WMDX-FM (92.7), Madison; WRJN-FM (99.9) and -AM (1400), Racine; WGBW-FM (97.9) and -AM (1590), Green Bay; WISS-FM (98.3), Oshkosh; WXCO-FM (98.9) and -AM (1230), Wausau; and WFHR-FM (97.5) and -AM (1320), Wisconsin Rapids. The network's programming is also available on the Civic Media app.
