C.C.’s Elbow Room is coming soon to Brookfield. Here's what you can expect from the new bar and restaurant.
Cee Cee Ceman has worked in restaurants since she was 15. She's always loved it.
When the opportunity came to open her own bar in Brookfield, she jumped all over it.
Ceman, who's lived in Brookfield for more than 30 years, hopes to open C.C.’s Elbow Room, at 2850 N. Brookfield Road, sometime before the end of the year.
"So it's home and I just want to share my happiness with everybody," Ceman said.
Ceman said the bar and restaurant, which was formerly Sabella's Pub, will serve a wide variety of drinks and food. She's partnered with Rick Schmitt, who is the consultant for the restaurant.
"It's called the Elbow Room cause it's going to be tight and busy," Schmitt said.
It's easy to see where the first part of the bar's name came from.
Ceman will install a U-Shaped bar that will greet customers when they walk into the space. She hopes the bar will be used by the neighborhood as a gathering place.
Bar-goers can order signature Old Fashioneds, Rum and Coke, high-end wines and beers, and local brews from the area, among many other drinks. Sports will be played on the bar's TVs throughout the day.

The bar will also serve burgers, Friday Fish Fry, a pizza recipe that Ceman will reveal when the bar officially opens and more. She's also hoping to be open for Sunday brunch in the future.
C.C.’s Elbow Room has a patio that can seat 40. Ceman hopes to have live music outside during the warmer months.
Ceman's husband died about a year and a half ago and after thinking a lot about what she wanted to do next, she decided to open C.C.’s Elbow Room.
"I'm young enough and I've got a lot of drive and I like to work," Ceman said.
