Oshkosh Fire Department’s Food & Toy Drive returns. Here’s how to give.
People can donate from their homes during route pickups or drop off donations at any fire station.
OSHKOSH — Oshkosh Fire Department Local 316’s annual Food & Toy Drive returns for its 25th year Nov. 29-Dec. 12.
During that time, the department will be collecting non-perishable food items; new, unwrapped gifts; wrapping paper and tape; and cash donations along pickup routes or by drop-off at any fire station.
Pickup routes will begin between 5 and 5:30 p.m. as follow:
- Nov. 29: South side of the city;
- Dec. 4: Central part of the city;
- Dec. 7: West side of the city;
- Dec. 11: Northwest side of the city; and
- Dec. 12: Northeast side of the city.
For route pickups, members of the Oshkosh Fire Department drive through different neighborhoods and people can go outside and give their donations to Santa’s helpers as they walk along with the big guy.
For station drop-offs, the city’s six fire stations are at 2050 Knapp St., 101 Court St., 711 S. Washburn St., 1813 Algoma Blvd., 811 E. Murdock Ave. and 1000 W. Snell Road.
