GREEN BAY − Aaron Jones practiced for the second straight day Friday, perhaps presenting the Green Bay Packers a difficult decision for Monday night’s game at the New York Giants.

Jones is the Packers top running back, among their most dynamic playmakers, and presents an element their offense misses without him on the field. He also hasn’t played the past two games because of a sprained MCL. The Giants play at MetLife Stadium, infamously among the NFL’s most questionable field turf surfaces.

It’s not an ideal location for Jones to return from a knee injury, but if he’s healthy enough to play, the Packers could use him back as soon as possible.

Coach Matt LaFleur likely will give Jones the weekend to see how his knee feels Monday morning after a week of practice. Cornerback Jaire Alexander might be in a similar situation after practicing the past two days as he tries to return from a shoulder injury that has cost him the past four games.

Matt LaFleur’s full injury report: Elgton Jenkins (shoulder), Quay Walker (shoulder) and Christian Watson (hamstring) did not practice. Aaron Jones, Jaire Alexander, De'Vondre Campbell, AJ Dillon, Rashan Gary, Jonathan Owens, Jayden Reed and Devonte Wyatt were limited.

Safety Darnell Savage returned to practice after missing Thursday.
