Players to watch
30 Kendall Nead (5-11, Jr., G): Look for Nead’s scoring to tick up again this season as she takes the reins as team leader.
22 Angie Cera (5-11, Jr., G): Defense is her strong suit, but this season Cera will also be needed to become a more consistent scorer.
23 Kamy Peppler (5-6 Soph., G): The hope is many positive lessons were learned after a rough freshman season.
5 Grace Crowley (5-11 Sr., F): The consummate program player, Crowley finally gets a chance to step into the spotlight in her fifth year.
4 Anna Lutz (6-1 Soph., F): Lutz is the tallest among UWM’s regulars. Freshman Izzy Pugh (6-2) has Lutz by an inch as tallest player on the roster.

Reason to believe
The Panthers have plenty of athletes and can employ a playing style that can frustrate opponents – a big change from their previous post-centric approach.
Reason to doubt
The top of the rotation possesses decent experience. Beyond that, though, multiple players are going to be asked to step up and perform in bigger roles.
