Both the Wisconsin and Marquette volleyball teams are back in action Friday in NCAA second-round regional matches after victories Thursday.
No. 3 Wisconsin (27-3) takes on Miami at 7 p.m. at the UW Field House in Madison after defeating Jackson State, 25-18, 25-9, 25-18. The Badgers are the top seed in their region and the third overall seed in the tournament. Miami (18-11) is unseeded, but defeated No. 8 seed Northern Iowa on Thursday.
Marquette (21-10) faces Purdue at 6 p.m. in West Lafayette, Indiana, after topping Eastern Illinois, 25-19, 25-16, 25-14. The Golden Eagles are the sixth seed in the regional, while Purdue is the third seed.
