Got a Milwaukee sports fanatic in your life? Here are some gift ideas
The holiday season is a great opportunity to get the sports fan in your life some new gear for their team's upcoming or current season.
And Milwaukee sports fans are unique in that they ride or die with all teams that represent the city. Whether it's high-level professional teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers, minor leagues teams like the Admirals or independent teams like the Milkmen, DockHounds and Wave, there is something special for all fans.
Here's just a sample of what's available:
Milwaukee Bucks
The NBA season is in full swing and there's no better time to boost the Bucks gear than when there are games to attend. The team is (as of this publishing) undefeated in the in-season tournament and in a good position to make the playoffs.
Dame Time
What time is it? In Milwaukee, it's Dame Time. New Buck Damian Lillard has been making an impact with the squad and Bucks fans might want to stock up on gear to show the new guy some support.
Of course there's the typical green and white jerseys available for $130.
But there are also multiple T-shirts with his likeness, including a shirt with him and Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee skyline and Bucks logo in the background ($40).
Sequin Bucks bomber jacket?!
The shop has something for the most confident of Bucks fans – a black sequin bomber jacket, which costs $150.
It can definitely draw eyeballs and attention for those with the skills to pull it off.
Matching game day 'fits with Giannis and Khris
It's not unusual for Bucks players to come to Fiserv Forum on game day in matching sweatshirt ($85) and sweatpants ($90).

And now fans too can don similar 'fits with sweatsuits. The shop has sweat sets in black and olive green.
Milwaukee Brewers
The most diehard Milwaukee Brewers fans likely have multiple hats, shirts, hoodies and jerseys but there are some items that might not be in every fan cave. The holiday tradition returns as Milwaukee Brewers Annual Clubhouse Sale will take place on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2 inside the visiting clubhouse at American Family Field from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The sale features savings of up to 80% off merchandise, apparel and game-used memorabilia.
Game used balls!
Fans view what happens on the field as part of history, even if it's a ground out to first base. But if they really, REALLY want to feel like a big league player, it might be helpful for them to handle a ball used during a real game.
At the Brewers team store, customers can buy game-used balls for $60.
A baseball card and a piece of a jersey?
Baseball cards are among the original "collector's items" but the Brewers have one of the few team stores that offers fans a new twist on the item. Ballpark Fusion cards mix traditional baseball card with a real piece of a uniform embedded into the card.
The Brewers team store is the only place to get this unique gift and fans won't know what card they got until they open it. Each box has one card. One box costs about $30.
Parachuting Santa?!
Santa Claus is known for arriving in a sleigh, but how would he arrive to a Brewers tailgate? Or how does he get down a chimney? He might skydive.
And what could look more festive hanging off a tree than a parachuting Santa with a Brewers logo? They're available at the team store for $15.
Milwaukee Admirals
Winter is the perfect time to show some love to the local hockey fan in your life. And the Milwaukee Admirals have you covered.
Admirals jerseys make a great holiday gift. Available in youth and adult sizes up to 4X, hockey jerseys are the best way to show your fandom. Replica jerseys sell for anywhere from $115 up to $210. Authentic jerseys are a bit more expensive.
Logo tees starting at $20 are perfect for the Admirals fan on your list. Shopping is available in the Admirals office at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check milwaukeeadmirals.com for any changes to holiday hours.
Milwaukee Milkmen and Wave
Independent baseball is a thing in Wisconsin and it started with the Milwaukee Milkmen. The Milkmen are preparing Franklin Field, their home turf, for Enchant Christmas, which means no team store hours.
But the team will have its online store open now through Dec 17. It’ll be accessible from the team's website, https://www.milwaukeemilkmen.com/, under FAN GEAR, which includes shirts, hats and a holiday sweatshirt.
As usual, this holiday season there are ticket and gift packages for both the Milkmen and Wave this season.
You can find a Milkmen 5-game pack here: https://www.milwaukeemilkmen.com/fivegameplan
And Wave season tickets here: https://www.milwaukeewave.com/season-tickets
Given the custom t-shirt inclusion & other special-order items, they will be available for pick-up after the holidays due to lead time. Wave gifts will arrive January 2024; Milkmen gifts are expected to be available in spring 2024 when games get underway for the upcoming season.
Lake Country DockHounds
The Lake Country DockHounds in Oconomowoc have been building up their fan base the last two years and head into their third season hoping to make the playoffs.
There are some fans that have been with the team since the beginning and this year is the year to show them some love. Fans can choose from a DockHounds Christmas sweater or a Christmas long sleeve t-shirt. These are great items to celebrate both the DockHounds and the holidays.
The DockHounds are including a mystery gift for anyone that purchases one during the team's Black Friday Steal sale, which runs Nov. 24-27.
The team is also offering a Holiday 4 Pack special. This is a $65 package that includes 4 ticket vouchers, redeemable for any 2024 DockHounds home game, as well as a 2024 Dogs of Lake Country wall calendar, sponsored by Visit Oconomowoc and Bark River Animal Hospital. The proceeds of the calendars (which can also be purchased separately for $10) go to HAWS in Waukesha.
The team store, inside the stadium at 1011 Blue Ribbon Circle North, will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. now through the holidays. The Black Friday Steals will be on the website (DockHounds.com/Black-Friday-Steals) with purchase options available starting on Black Friday.
